ABCB Investments Ltd serves as the specialized investment arm of ABCB Holdings Limited, strategically positioned to manage the group’s non-banking activities and investments. Incorporated in 2024, it plays a pivotal role in the group’s diversification strategy, overseeing strategic assets including ABCB Properties Ltd and future investment opportunities.
With a mandate to optimize the group’s capital allocation and investment returns, it focuses on identifying, evaluating, and managing investments that complement the group’s core banking operations. Governance Framework
Our company is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of a majority of independent directors, ensuring objective oversight and decision-making. The day-to-day management is entrusted to the Managing Director. The Board is also assisted by two specialized subcommittees that enhance our governance practices and help fulfill our responsibilities to shareholders and other stakeholders.

Audit and Risk Committee
The Audit and Risk Committee oversees the company’s financial reporting processes, internal controls, and risk management framework. This committee ensures the integrity of financial statements, monitors compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and reviews the effectiveness of our risk management strategies. The committee maintains direct communication with both internal and external auditors to ensure comprehensive financial oversight.
Governance Committee
The Governance Committee focuses on board composition, succession planning, and corporate governance practices. This committee identifies and evaluates potential board candidates, reviews director independence, and ensures the board maintains appropriate skills and experience. Additionally, the committee develops and recommends governance guidelines and policies that promote ethical conduct and responsible corporate citizenship.

Mrs. Ah Foon Chui Yew Cheong
Independent Chairperson
Mrs. Ah Foon Chui Yew Cheong retired as a Judge of the Supreme Court of Mauritius in 2017 after a distinguished 40-year career in the legal and judicial service, including serving as Director of Public Prosecutions. She chaired the Institute for Judicial and Legal Studies (IJLS) from its inception in 2011 until 2021, leading numerous courses and workshops for the legal profession and judiciary.
She continues to contribute to Mauritian civil law and served as an independent expert witness in the 2019 case of UCP Plc v Nectrus before the High Court of England and Wales. She is a member of the Wildlife Justice Commission (WJC) Council and has chaired the Board of SOS Children’s Villages (Mauritius) since 2017, supporting family care for underprivileged children.
Her extensive legal expertise, leadership, and strong values make her an ideal Independent Chairperson of ABCB Holdings.

Professor Donald Ah-Chuen
Managing Director
Professor Donald Ah-Chuen holds an M.B.A (University of Strathclyde, UK). He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia and holds an M.C.I.P.D (Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, UK). In March 2009, he was conferred the distinction of G.O.S.K. (Grand Officer of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean) in recognition of his valuable contributions in the sectors of Banking & Financial Services and Tertiary Education. Professor Donald is a director of the Stock Exchange of Mauritius Ltd (SEM). He is also a director of ABC MOTORS COMPANY LIMITED and P.O.L.I.C.Y Limited, listed on the DEM and SEM respectively. He is a former Board Director of the Development Bank of Mauritius and the Bank of Mauritius. His other previous responsibilities include the Presidency of the Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chairmanship of the Tertiary Education Commission of Mauritius. He was also Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of Mauritius and Chairman of the Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation.

Vincent Ah-Chuen
Non-Executive Director
A seasoned entrepreneur, Vincent Ah-Chuen has been instrumental in the growth and diversification of the ABC Group of Companies, where he oversees the Shipping Cluster. He currently serves as Managing Director of the ABC Group and actively participates in various socio-cultural and religious non-profit organizations.
In December 2016, he obtained the World Business Leadership Excellence Award. He is the Chairman of P.O.L.I.C.Y Limited and MUA Stockbroking Ltd and a director of Phoenix Transafrica Holdings Ltd (Kenya). He also holds directorship in listed companies on the Official Market namely MUA Ltd & P.O.L.I.C.Y Limited.

Bhanu Pratabsingh Jaddoo
Independent Director
Mr. Jaddoo is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and a Corporate Finance and Advisory specialist focusing on investment management and corporate development. During his career, Mr Jaddoo has held important executive roles and directorship in entities of the De Chazal Du Mée Group, and was the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Titanium Resource Group Ltd, a mining company listed on the London Stock Exchange. He also held the position of Managing Director of the Board of Investment between 2005 and 2010, and was the Secretary General of the Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI). He currently sits as an Independent Director on a number of Private Equity Funds and international boards, with a focus on risk management, governance and sustainability
